High School Cross-Country event presented by Rome High School
You are invited to the 28th Ridge Ferry Invitational. Last years meet attracted close to 46 schools and 1600 runners. Ridge Ferry Park is a scenic course with 60% of course grass or gravel trails and 40% is on asphalt trails. Basically flat and fast. The races will be professionally timed by Ridgeline Events. The High School and Middle school races will be chip timed and scored. The meet will be sanctioned by GHSA as well as neighboring states if needed.
AWARDS
Top three teams in the HS (JV/Varsity) and MS races will receive trophies
Medals to the top 10 individuals in Varsity races.
Medals to the top 10 finishers in the JV races.
Ribbons for the Elementary schools
High school and Middle school Races will be chipped by RidgelineTiming. All results reported to MileSplit.
There is not going to be official time for the Elementary school 1 mile.
FACILITIES
Restrooms, water fountains, picnic tables. No dressing facilities, dress before arriving. T-shirts will be sold and designed on site by EagleSportz. Snack concessions and Food truck.
Spectator Admission
A $5 entry fee will be charged for adults, $2 entry for students and children.
ENTRY LIMITS
10 runners per varsity team. All other runners will run the JV race.
Sanctioned for all GHSA schools.
PARKING
All parking is limited to the area around the old pumphouse. DO NOT park directly on the road itself, as it is part of the course.
